"Addicted" by Zane

Zane took us to a totally different world with this book.

When most people think of Zane’s books, they usually think of the raunchy, in-your-face, sex driven novels. But “Addicted” gave us a story that left us with characters and scenes that we’ll forever remember.

Zoe and Jason’s story starts from their adolescent years and combs all the way through into them being adults. We see the various twists and turns of love, lies, and lust- and how it affects these two characters and the people around them, as they progress through life.

“Addicted” is by far one of my favorite books of all time- and a definitely must have in my Top 20 library. (I’ll divulge that list at a later date. Haha.)

I will say my ONLY issue with this book, is the film adaptation that was made. Those who are huge fans of the book, myself included, were ESTATIC to hear that they were making this into a movie. But that movie was AWFUL; most of the plot had been changed, and major KEY parts of the book, and character’s stories were left out. I was extremely disappointed and let down, to say the least. I’m not sure how much input Zane had in the script that was created for the movie, but I wish they had stayed a little more true to the original story and character storylines.

Outside of that movie though- the book is amazing. The reader will totally get lost in the pages of Zoe and Jason, and what becomes of the two of them. -Nina Michelle
