“The Paris Apartment” by Lucy Foley
The last few months have been an absolute whirlwind; getting past the winter holidays and weather, my son catching Covid (twice, unfortunately), starting new classes and a new business, opening up my own private tattoo shop... LIFE. Which in turn, caused me to slack a little on my reading blog. But I knew I needed to get back into it asap- for the reviews, and more importantly- to keep me sane and have those small pieces of “Me Time.”
Since January, I decided to open a membership with “Book of the Month”, and that was easily one of the best things I’ve done. (Subtle Plug: but for those wondering, this monthly membership allows you to choose from an array of new books, and get a monthly shipment for just fifteen bucks. And it has various perks the longer you’re a member.)
But pushing along, yesterday I decided to [force myself to] take a break from the stresses of work and running around each and every day "Mom'ing", and just READ. I chose my March BOM selection, “The Paris Apartment” by Lucy Foley. This book was without a doubt everything I needed it to be! A page turner from start to finish. As I mentioned, I picked it up yesterday, and finished it in less than 24 hours. The mystery and suspense constantly kept me on edge, and trying to guess the different angles and possible outcomes. And yet I was STILL was shocked by the ending. Foley did an amazing job keeping readers on the end of their seats- and I'm actually looking up other novels that she's written, to give those a read as well. I don't want to give too much away, and ruin the book- but I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone look for a "puzzle to solve." I promise you will not be disappointed!
