The Unwanted Marriage, by Catharina Maura

this was my first book that i've read by Catharina Maura, and i am in love with her writing. i was buried in the book from the first page, and could not put it down. i started a little out of order with the series reading- but i just ordered the other books that are already released (i loved all of the characters; everybody had their own personalities and it tied the dynamic together smoothly.)

dion and faye were sooooo perfect for each other. and i love how patient he was with her, after everything she had been through.

i do wish we had gotten a little bit more of that darker side of dion, just to get a full contrast of how he was with those who crossed him, and the "monster" came out, versus the caring and sweet version we got when he was with his family, and especially with faye.

i LOVE how faye finally stood up for herself. her dad was a total slimeball- and got everything he deserved in the end. her relationship with her new family was super cute, and i so appreciate how they welcomed her with open arms... her and dion both were in their heads so much, but when they finally cleared the smoke, the other was still there waiting for them.

the writing in this novel flowed perfectly; we got a dual POV, and a good amount from both dion and faye's perspective. it was emotional, sweet, mysterious, and of course the spice was there as well. *there is mention of a couple of sensitive topics, so take that into consideration.*

i cannot wait to read the other novels, and see what happens with the rest of the Windsor siblings.
