God of Wrath, by Rina Kent

after reading the Deception Triliogy, which features the story of Jeremy’s parents, i already knew i was going to love his and Cicily’s story. jeremy is calm, strategic, unbothered, and unhinged- just like his dad. but paired up with cicely you see exactly what can get to him, and really make him unravel: HER.

the dynamic between the two of them was perfect; the tension, passion, emotion- off the charts. i love how they both pull those reservations out of the other. jeremy was a little stalkerish- but i think his intentions were good. haha.

his protectiveness over her though literally was #melt. she went through something i wouldn’t wish on anybody- and jeremy made sure she got her justice in the end. i think because we got to see jeremy as a child and the traumas he went through growing up, in previous books, it allows us to connect and sympathize with his character more.

this is definitely in my top reads from the entire collection of rina kent’s books.
