This Could Be Us, by Kennedy Ryan

I knew before even starting this book, that I was going to fall in love with this. Especially after being introduced to Soledad's character, in "Before I Let Go," I just knew it.

And let me say- Kennedy Ryan does. not. disappoint!

As a single mom, I was able to relate through the entirety of this book; of wanting to be enough, sacrificing, and wanting to be present for all of the big and small moments. I also understand that "mom guilt" of wanting to have time for yourself, and having a personal romantic life, but feeling like you may be missing out and slighting your child by having "me time."

I was so happy seeing Soledad bloom into an even better version of herself, and definitely getting rid of that weak excuse of a husband she had. (He was literally the absolute WORST. ugh.) And I love how she was able to accomplish what she wanted and still end of finding a way to enjoy things for herself, while still being an amazing mother to her daughters.

And let's get into Jonah. What a MAN! #swoon

He was the perfect balance for Soledad, and individually I adored his character; he was a stand up father, patient with his children, had a friendly working relationship with his ex-wife when it came to co-parenting, he was so passionate and patient with Soledad, understanding her situation and what she personally wanted and needed, and was FINE (I'm not even going to pretend to gloss over that part.)

Without giving too much away, I definitely would recommend this this anyone who's looking for a a novel that reflects on passion, self-appreciation, single parent romance, found family, and finding yourself again.

I'm so happy with this book, and excited to see what Kennedy has next for us! 🩷
