Makai, by Grey Huffington

Book 3 of the series (we all know I don't read series in order, unless I'm starting a brand new series, and reading as the books are released. haha!)

But MAKAI, yup! Without having read books 2 and 4 yet, I know he's going to be my favorite brother. He's unapologetic, comedic, raw, unhinged, and stands on what he says (even if it's so far in left field, to us readers. IYKYK.) Not to mention how he was described. (I've been told I have a "type" and Makai checks ALL of those boxes to a T.)

I absolutely loved him and Glacier together. She definitely brought out that softer side of him, which I loved seeing. They had there own issues together and individually, but when they came as one it was believable. There were times when I felt he was a little too laid back and silly acting- but if you've ever dated a man from Detroit, you've experienced this behavior through and through, and learn to pick your battles lol.

I think I love and relate to their story so much because... well, I've been Glacier. And I've had my Makai (physically and emotionally), and almost the same story, just a different outcome.

Speaking of outcomes, I was glad to see how it ended. I just wish there had been more to it. After everything they went through and how they got to the final chapter- I just wish we had more. Especially after what he put her through, I think he needed to do a little more groveling. But again, having been there before- I get it. Sometimes, you just want your man back home. You don't need all the extra, because you know his heart.

I'm excited to jump back to Milo and see where his story takes us, and what we get from Mercer as well 💕
